OUR 56TH ISSUE

"  HAPPINESS
can be an uncomfortable thing"

Dec. 2015

24 pages

$3-

THE OTHER HERALD IS PUBLISHED QUARTERLY

or as possible until I have an empty nest in late-2015

(WAS MONTHLY 2006-2010 and QTLY 2011-2012 and ONCE in 2014.)

ISSUES ARE BASED ON A THEME OR TOPIC about which CONTRIBUTORS HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

THE OTHER HERALD is not fancy.

IT IS PAPER WEIGHTED DOWN BY MEANING.

Threaded together, these works grow beyond their page. The ideas intermingle; perhaps we all have more in common than we think.

HOLD IT IN YOUR HAND.

FEEL THE CONNECTION

to WRITERS and READERS and VISUAL ARTISTS ...

OUR COMMONALITIES as well as OUR UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES.

PREVIOUS ISSUE INFO:

OUR 55TH ISSUE
"WHY WE WORK /
WHY WE MAKE ART"

These stories, poems and works of art have a common thread, offer quiet glimpses into that realm of why we do what we do. Whether it be career work, or creative work— art, writing, music, dance. Perhaps the two run together more than we think.  —T. F. Rice, Editor

FOR ADDITIONAL INFO, SEE BELOW AND "SUBMISSIONS" PAGE OF THIS WEB SITE:

Contributors, readers and subscribers are from all over the US, as we all as other countries. We're little, but we have a big heart!!! Most issues end up with a loose theme, however, no need to limit submissions to a specific theme; we accept general submissions year round.

We "herald" all kinds of good writing and information of interest to writers and creatives. Some submissions may not fit our needs, and we will say so, maybe even with constructive comments (when was the last time a publisher did that?!). Special preference is not given to any submission based on circumstance, location of postmark, or mentions of previous publication. Alternately, well-published writers are not turned away; if we think they have something important to say or well said, then we're willing to publish them right next to a first-time-published writer!
HERE, ALL WRITERS ARE ON EVEN GROUND.
